A delicious visit to Divino Restaurant in Adel, Leeds

Italian food is always popular, and it is easy to understand why.  Full of flair and flavour as it is at Divino restaurant, it is very hard to beat.

Located in the more suburban area of Adel, just outside the centre of Leeds, Divino brings the style and excitement of the city to the doorstep of local people, providing the perfect venue for a great meal.  However, it is also worth the trip for urban city-dwellers to experience the excellent food and warm, friendly service.

Opened in Autumn 2008 on the site of the old Bellini restaurant, the building exudes style and charisma.  The interior has been finished to the highest possible standard, decorated in deep indulgent purple and sophisticated cream suede.  The stylish sweeping bar is complemented by a well-stocked drinks cabinet, offering only the highest quality.  The wine list is well put together, with just the right bottle for every meal.

The large dining area has a lively, upbeat and energetic feel.  The service is superb, producing the feeling that every member of staff wants to enhance your visit to the highest level.  Every occasion is catered for, large tables for birthday meals, a quick early bird dinner before a big night out, or a discreet corner for a romantic a la carte meal.

All ingredients are the best quality available and are prepared on site by a skilled team of chefs.  The extensive menu offers something for everyone, from the light and spicy arrabbiata to rich duck breast with brandy sauce.  The daily specials enhance the menu, including a fish dish, fresh and full of flavour.

Just glancing at the choice of food it is clear that recipes are authentically Italian.  Bresaola, the classic air cured beef fillet is a great way to start, served with light peppery rocket, rich parmesan and indulgent truffle infused olive oil.  Maybe grilled goats cheese is more to your taste, complemented by fresh salad leaves and a sweet pepper salad with a dash of honey.  Bread is of course home made, and is served with butter and olives.

Pasta is always cooked perfectly “al dente”, and coated with sumptuously rich sauces like sage and butter or packed with seafood in the deliciously balanced frutti di mare.  Risotto is rich and creamy and packed full of flavours such as deep earthy porcini mushrooms and parmesan cheese.

Pizza bases any Italian would be proud of are finished with only the finest creamy buffalo mozzarella, refreshing rocket, parma ham and a large selection of other toppings.  Other mouth-watering main dishes are equally tempting.  Fillet of beef cooked to order and served with mixed forest and wild mushrooms in a creamy sauce is as delicious as it sounds, while the sweetness of the best end of lamb is perfectly balanced by fresh herbs and rich marsala sauce. Excellent fish dishes like sea bass with king prawns in white wine, garlic and parsley butter are also firm favourites with regular customers.

Classic desserts are elegantly presented and well executed.  Tiramisu has the ideal combination of deep coffee, rich chocolate and light sweet cream, while offerings such as cheesecake are refreshing and full of flavour.

Dinner can be finished in relaxed style, over a cup of real coffee without feeling rushed, giving you a chance to truly enjoy the company you are in.  Divino is the ideal venue for any event, whether it is a quick snack in your lunch break from work, a fun family gathering or an intimate evening for two.  Great staff and excellent food are the perfect combination to enjoy any occasion!
